Saturday’s 3rd Annual 2011 Friends of Fishtown 5K turned out to be a great day!
The Fishtown Preservation Society is pleased to present its 3rd Annual Fishtown 5K Fun Run. Proceeds will help FPS continue its preservation work in Fishtown.
The Fishtown Preservation Society will hold a series of presentations throughout the summer in Fishtown. Presentations start on Tuesday, July 12th and end in Mid-August. Local experts will speak on subjects related to Fishtown and the Great Lakes.
Fishtown is always open to the public to explore through all the seasons
We are excited to welcome the National Park Service, Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear, Inland Seas Educational Association, the Maritime Heritage Alliance, the United States Geological Survey (Great Lakes Science Center), Michigan Sea Grant, Manitou Transit, and Big Stone Bay Fishery.
FPS competes to create the best ice cream dessert in Leland. Free samples to the public! Location: Harbor House, Leland (just outside of Fishtown) Start Time: 1:00 p.m.
On Saturday, July 25th, the Fishtown Preservation Society hosted its First Annual 5K Fun Run to benefit Fishtown. Over 200 people of all ages joined in the event.
