Fishtown’s Mortgage Pay-Off Celebration

February 15, 2019 / Marsha Brunett / Events, Featured, News
0

Fishtown Preservation completed the Fishtown mortgage on February 7, 2019!
In celebration, we declared February 7–16, 2019 ~ Love Fishtown Week! The shanty rooftops were relit* with the addition of a big red heart from February 7 through February 16. On Thursday, February 14, 2019, we celebrated this important milestone in Fishtown. We offered tributes, burned the old mortgage and made toasts to those who made it possible—and to everyone that continues to love and support Fishtown. (Rescheduled from February 7 due to an ice storm.) We are grateful for those that joined us in person, in heart and via our Facebook Live video. Read more in this MLive Feb 7 article.

“I Love Fishtown” Photos
Many Fishtown friends took photos with our “I Love Fishtown” signs, both at Fishtown and throughout Leland. If you took photos, we hope you’ll share them with us—send to: [email protected] or message to us on Facebook at Fishtown Leland.
