Historic Fishtown has been nominated for the Dwell Magazine Preservation award with a chance to win $10,000!
Dwell Magazine, who believes that a modern world begins with honoring the precedents of the past, partnered with Sub-Zero to conceive a contest dedicated to rethinking preservation. They received dozens of entries over the last few weeks and now have posted the nominations for popular vote. Next week, a panel of judges selects the winner from the top ten that receive the most votes.
Your vote will help to award $10,000 to the Fishtown Preservation Society (FPS) – a local non-profit dedicated to preserve and maintain the authenticity and character of Fishtown. We know that people love Fishtown, says Amanda Holmes, Executive Director of FPS, but this has given hundreds of people a fun way to show how much they care about this amazing place, and help to bring in much-needed funds. We will use the Dwell award for interpretive programs on site, to tell visitors about the rich history of Fishtown.
Voting lasts through February 20th. Multiple votes per person are accepted (and encouraged)! Please vote TODAY for Fishtown by clicking HERE.
If you have already voted, we appreciate your support. Please share this with your friends and family so they can cast their vote for Fishtown!
