It has been white, windy, and colder than cold. If we thought that December and January were punishing, we hadn’t met February and March yet.
But nothing has stopped the Easling Construction crew from making progress every day. Repaired windows and doors have been reinstalled in their openings, coats of Cabots Oil Finish have been applied to the shanty exteriors to help balance the old and newer wood, and three roofs have new shingles.
At the time of this update, however, the work in Fishtown has quite literally frozen to a halt. As soon as the ground thaws the crew will be back to work, including adding support posts, dealing with drainage issues, and upgrading the electric service.
We thought you’d like to see more photos of the project. The photos are in chronological order, from the beginning of February through March 13.
