A week and a half ago, we sent out a call for photos of Fishtown in 2015. We had a lot of fun looking through the photos people shared, and we’ve gathered what we hope is a good sampling of them into a video portrait of “Our Fishtown 2015.” I hope you enjoy it, and please share it with all the Fishtown fans you know.
About halfway through the video, amid all the photos of fishing, eating ice cream and cool sunsets on the beach, you’ll see Lynn Milliron, who’s cleaning one of our Fishtown garbage bins. She was in Fishtown in October as part of a team of volunteers from Chemical Bank willing to do, as they put it, “anything you need” — and it turns out that cleaning the garbage bins is something that’s also part of Fishtown.
Fishtown depends on you. The best way to care about Fishtown is to support Fishtown Preservation with your time, your generosity of spirit and, of course, with a financial contribution for the many un-glamorous things that sustain the place you love.
By the way, Lynn and the other volunteers had fun that day. It turns out that helping Fishtown just feels good. In these last days of 2015, please consider a contribution to Fishtown Preservation. Fishtown matters to you. You matter to Fishtown, too.
